David’s GTA 4 Anticipation

Grand Theft Auto and I met in a run-down video store in the summer of ‘98. A friend and I were rummaging around for titles we had yet to rent, and this jumped out at us. We took it home and couldn’t stop playing it. Taking turns running around causing mayhem was just so much fun. I […]

Ben’s GTA IV Expectations

Grand Theft Auto has never really been a franchise that excited me. As much as I attempt to present a rough, from the streets, etc, persona, the fact is that I am very much a straight arrow, and a game that focuses on criminal activity pretty much exclusively has therefore never really appealed to me. […]

GTA Cometh!

As everyone knows, Grand Theft Auto IV is about to come out. In celebration of this spectacular event, we well be dumping massive, steaming heads of pure coverage right here onto the site. We’ll both have some initial thoughts about the series and the possibilities of GTA IV, followed by periodic reports as we both […]

So, as everyone knows by now, the latest iteration of the (in)famous fighting franchise Mortal Kombat feature guest starts from the DC comics universe. Of course, some staples, such as Batman and Superman will undoubtedly show up, but we got to thinking… Who would we really like to see in Mortal Kombat vs. DC? Take […]

4.20.08 - I Am Mudkip

Good day, and welcome to the latest show! In this one, we talk about some of the new demos up on Live this week, a good number of games that are coming down the pipe at various times in the future, and get into some discussions about the latest sales numbers for the video game industry. GTA IV works its way into several discussions, and Ben suggests an interesting alternative for those who want the Tony Stark Experience without buying the Iron Man video game.

Heavy boots of lead, fills his victims full of dread.

The Iron Man demo hit Live yesterday and I was quite thrilled to finally get my grubby hands on it. As I am an admitted comic book dork, Iron Man has me more then a bit excited. Once you fire up the demo you get a little time to tool around with the armor, […]

Podcast Ep. 3: We need names for these

Welcome to episode three! On this show, we give some short reviews of Wild Arms XF and Army of Two, and talk about how you should play Crackdown because it’s awesome and now also really cheap. Lots of talk about things coming to Xbox Live Arcade, including Street Fighter and Bionic Commando. Also a little talk about some interesting indie games out there on the internets, and browser gaming. We also pontificate on larger issues effecting the gaming industry, such as EA’s attempted take-over of Take-Two, and why 50 Cent’s new game will probably be stupid.

Ikaruga review

Ikaruga is a top-down shooter. Ikaruga is hard. Ikaruga is a masterpiece.
This game takes top-down shooter game play and adds a simple mechanic that turns the genre on its head. As you fly your ship against wave after wave of enemies, you will be able to change your ship’s polarity. All enemies come in black […]
