Taking the term “old school” as literally as they can, Capcom have pulled the Blue Bomber out of a time capsule looking like he hasn’t aged a day since 1989. Keiji Inafune and company have ditched the styles of 7 and 8 and taken a leap back to the truly classic look of the early games in the series. The dismal condition of recent games has left me wanting for more retro action, and Capcom seems ready to deliver in spades.
Mega Man 9 will be heading WiiWare to square off against Dr. Wily’s evil robot masters. No info about a release date or pricing yet, but make sure to grab the forthcoming Nintendo Power or head over to The Megaman Network to check out all the scans.
